Robert Sutton

Robert is a Canadian from Ontario. He developed a keen eye for art whilst a young student. In the early 70’s he commenced oil painting, however employment demands put an early end  to it. Years go by as a retired Police Officer, business owner in the floral industry-Orchids and Iris. January 2012, freshly retired, remembering a past artistic passion, he joined the Tulare Senior Center Monday morning painting group, and remains with them today. Since then he has enjoyed other teachings of George Rayby, Daniel Edmondson, Johannes Vloothius, and Jerry Yarnell. In the past two years, he has displayed his oil paintings at the Tulare Museum, the Tulare County Fair, Lindsay Museum, the Visalia Arts Festival, Tulare DTB Assoc Art Night, and the Visalia Creative Center, and Apple Annie’s Restaurant. Robert is an avid photographer, and uses subject matter from his travels for inspiration in his art work.
